MG Magnette K3

Hi there!

It's been a while, but today I'm here to show you my most recent 3D project. The one I'm most proud of.
Let me start by saying that I was lucky enough to win a Facebook contest by Odd School. So, I sent one of my drawing to them and then, the drawing with the most likes, won. And I did!!
Whoever won that contest would be able to take a Foundation course in whatever we wanted, so I chose 3DS Max. Well, firstly, because I knew it's basically the most used software in the 3D world and secondly, because I had been working with it for a couples of months but I wanted to know more about it and to be able to work with it more efficiently.

So, to sum up, its was a one-month course and it was one of the best months of my life. I freaking loved it! Not only I learnt more in one month there than in 3 years of college, but also, all the teachers and students there are really understanding and helpful. Not to mentioned how much I've learnt to work with 3DS Max. Besides, my teacher, in the very first class, cut the bullshit right away, and tried to open our eyes to the real 3D world and to the more professional side of this business, which was something I really appreciated and now, I feel like I'm more prepared for what's coming and for how much I have to work to get where I want to.

Well, I'm totally rambling so let me tell you what was my final project. Despite the fact that that was a one-month course I decided to challenge myself so I modeled a car. I decided to choose quite a difficult one, if I say so myself and I went for the MG Magnette K3.

We all were on a schedule so I didn't have time to improve the render, which was a shame but oh well, at least, the most important part, the modeling, was done.

So, here it is and really hope you guys like it as much as I do.

Thank you so much and don't forget to leave some comments!
Keep doing more of what makes you happy! xx

The Makelani Family x2

Hey Hey!

It's been quite a while... again. I'm sorry but with the end of my degree I've been so busy, trying to finish projects. Today I'm showing you an extended version of my Makelani Family. I don't know if you can recall, but I've created a family and a story behind hit, i believe, last year, but there were a couple of characters missing so, in this semester, for my Concept Art project, I decided to finish it and explain the character a little bit more.

Oh, I forgot to say that I redid the already existing characters. I didn't change the clothes, but I basically turned them a little bit more realistic, as my skills have also improved a bit! ahah

So, here's a family picture!

This is a new character. Welcome Lance! He's not particularly part of the family but he's been working for them for a long time. He's kind of a grumpy old man and he gets along very well with Cassiel, the uncle, as they're both evil man. But, to be honest, Lance is just a tired old man who's ready to die basically, so he gets mad at everything, always.

This is Radley, as you already may know so I'm not gonna talk about him to much. He's the man of the family obviously but I tried to show that, actually, he's a very insecure man, as you can see in the first sketch on the left.

Another new character! I present you Nyra. The little girl who died in the fire because of her uncle Cassiel. Poor girl. She's a funny and smart little girl, always laughing and playing around ans that's why she went to the village that was still being built, just to play around inside the houses.

Here's Kaden, one of my favorite characters. He's very protective of his family, specially of Nyra, and he's ready to go after his uncle and do justice. In his free time, he likes to play football and show off because he's kind of vain. ahah

Another existing one, Mosi! I think she turned out really beautiful in the main drawing. She is a very quiet and peaceful woman, a very humble and worried mom, so needless to say, she was very devastated when they found Nyra dead.

Veema was the first new character I created to complete this story. I was thinking about a very chumby and cheerful old woman, more like a grandma, although she's a maid, who does almost all the house work, besides Lance. She's totally the opposite of Lance, she's always happy and ready to help the family and despite the fact that Lance is the most grumpy man alive, she's always trying to play with him and he gets really annoyed and she finds it really funny. Veema is also one of my favorite characters.

And finally, the horrible Cassiel. This time I try to bring out his evil side even more. I drew him more suspicious, more full of himself. Well, there's not much else to say about him. Shame on you, Cassiel!

So, that's that!

I really hope you guys liked this new version of the Makelani Family. I took a long time to finish this project and I look forward to add even more drawings of them interacting with each other and maybe some backgrounds, as well.

See you very very soon!

Thank you a lot! xx

Burnt Village

Hi everyone!

So.. last year my final project for my Digital Drawing class was a character concept from a story I've created involving the Makelani family, and I posted here the concepts on photoshop and also their 3d modeling, on zbrush.

Well, you may not remember that but I decided to go back to that story and add more concepts, more ideas, and more work, basically. All of this, because I have another final project for my Concept Art class and so I'm going to continue on that story, but hopefully do betetr things this time.

However, the concept I'm showing you today doesn't technically make part of my final project, but the task for this work gave a lot of room for us to do basically anything so I decided to kind of incorporate it on the final project.

Without any more rambling, this is the concept.

To give you a little bit of a background in case you don't know already from the other posts on this story, the Makelani Family is a rich but humble family, however, Cassiel, the uncle has always been kind of neglected as he thought, but in fact he was only jelous of his brother, for having a great, happy life in general. So, at the time Radley, the dad and Cassiel's brother, was building a samll village for people in need and one day, Cassiel decided, out of envy, to burn it all. What he didn't know is that his niece was playing in one of the houses will it was still builing built so she ended up dying. So, basically, the whole story is based on a "hunt" that the Makelani family are on to try to find the uncle Cassiel who then ran away, obviously.

After this long, boring story (kidding), this is the village already burnt.

I really, truely, hope you like it! Make sure to give me feedback on it, I'd love to know!
See you next time!

Thank you! xx

Environments

Hi guys!

I'm back now! Today what I have to show you is a trio of concept art environments, one completely natural, one completely urbanized and another one which was a mixer of the two. Despite of these conditions, this last project allowed us to spread our imagination.

First of all, I just wanna say that I opted for a much more spontaneous type of work, unlike what I usually do, specially for the first two concept works. And I love it, don't get me wrong. I actually think I should start to do that more often. Another reason why is because my teacher said this was a less "serious project".

For the first one, I decided to draw mountain which I enjoy doing a lot. I wanted a snow landscape so I incorporated both things. I put a person walking there for the purpose of giving scale.

This next one is a humble and poor little village. I know I put two birds standing there and they're part of nature but oh well. They kind of give the image some scale.

And the final one is the mixed environment. I started by doing this one, that's why it has a a little more detailed look to it. It's a mysterious cottage in a swamp, I think it kind of turned out right.

I hope you guys like them, and stay tuned for my next project which will hopefully be done by next week.

See you then! Thank you so much! xx

Bed Room Concept

Hi everyone!
How are you all doing? I'm so sorry, but lately my work process isn't going too fast, and also, I've been waiting to finish this project completely so I can show all the work together.

This project was divided into 3 parts, being the first one, the general concept of an interior environment, which had to be a bedroom. Then we had to pick a different perspective and explore the light/shadow work, so we had to basically create a light source and work the drawing from there. And finally, the "final project", the third part, was to include not only light and shadows but also textures and turn the bedroom "alive".

I opted for a modern type of bedroom, but quite messy, with an awesome mountain view.

I really hope you guys like it!
I'll try to be more regular and consistent with the content I put up here, I promise!

Thank you very much! xx

Mixed Features

Hi guys!

I know it's been quite a while but I've been dying, trying to finish my Comic and Concept Art projects and today this last one is what I'm going to show you. I have to say that I'm actually extremely proud of how it turned out! I'm kind loving it!

So, the whole point of this Concept project was to create our own characters, a man and a woman, and also a background which had to include them. But, wait. It's not that simple. The fun part of this project was that we had to, somehow, create the characters and the background based on a mix between two completely different ethnicities. Besides, we were supposed to really mix the different features in a subtle way, in order to create a whole other different ethnicity.

Wellll.... and what were my ethnicities? you may ask. It was drawn and the ones that were given to me were Japan and Greece, and I loveeeed it! They're completely different races and I thought it would be quite interesting to create a mix between them.

So, I present to you Alethea.

For me, she's my favorite. I really believe it turned out quite perfect, just as I wanted to, to be honest.

And here's Shig

To begin with, I wasn't actually liking it very much but I guess I'm pretty pleased with the result.

And, tan tan taaaaaaan! Here's the background!

I'm very happy with it. Surprisingly, the background it self didn't took me long to finish, the characters were actually much harder to do. As you might have already guess, Shig is a warrior and there has been a sort of storm or whatever and he's saving her because shi passed out.

Well, well, well. I really hope you guys like them! Make sure to give me feedback on it!

Thank youn very much! xx

My Author's Book

Hey guys! Long time, no see! I know, I know...

But today, I actually have looooads of drawings to show you, because I had a project for this whole semester for an author's book and so I had to draw quite a lot during these last months.
So, my book will be having 42 pages, of which I'm only going to post here like around 10, the ones I like the most.

Let me just give you a little bit of explaining about my book, specifically. So, the whole purpose of the project was to create throughout the semester an author's book, which is a book only related to its author, that is, a book in which you can immediately tell whose its author. Besides, it had to have a general theme and I decided to choose portraits because that's the thing I draw and love the most.

So, enjoy!

I guess there is a little bit of everything right above, but anyway, I really hope you like them and stay tuned!

Thanks a lot! xx
